Cafe Vara Du

Very friendly and welcoming service. The space is gorgeous and I love the design details. We had the strawberry cheesecake rolled ice cream and thought it was delicious! I’m excited to come back and try the toasts.

This place is great. I hate they are being trolled by some fake accounts, because it really was delicious. I wish all people were as sincere and upstanding as the owners of Cafe Vara Du are. I have been in twice since they opened down the road from me and it has been amazing. The rolled ice cream is delicious and unique to Winston, and the smoothies are amazing. The owners are great people and have put their heart and soul into not just their businesses, but their community. We need more business and people like them in Winston-Salem! Go check them out. You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely wonderful cafe! The staff is warm and very helpful. Our group tried several items and we loved them all. The smoothie bowl was delicious, the ice cream was so good, and the waffle pop may have been one of the best things we ever ate!

From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed to the store. I had several questions about the food and the restaurant, as it was the first time I had visited. Every question I asked was met with a kind answer, and they we're grateful to assist me with my order and with questions about my daughter's allergies. It is good to know that they have gluten free and vegan options, and they were even willing to consider what a change in recipe might look like to accommodate her in the future. I was able to enjoy free Wi-Fi and the atmosphere is fantastic if you want to enjoy healthy food and be productive at the same time. I'm very happy to know that this store is located closer to our home in my place of business, and I recommend it to people for healthy juice, smoothie, toast, and coffee options. I am looking forward to seeing if they bring back vegetable soup and grilled cheese option! Kudos to the ownership and their kindness, I am also impressed by their feedback they are giving in these reviews. That shows professionalism, maturity, and compassion. Vegan rolled ice cream for the win!! So yummy!! Friendly staff greeted and welcomed us as quite the crowd was rolling in on their first Sunday opening... Light, clean, fresh ambiance. I love that they offer the From a Small Seed bars for an on-the-go snack! A welcomed addition to our lovely city!

We love this place!!! We’ve been several times and always had yummy food and wonderful service! I love watching them roll the ice cream. I had never had it before...what a treat! The coffee and smoothies are also delicious. Love the decor and the location! Can’t wait to go back!

Let me tell you, this place is AWESOME!! I went and had some amazing delicious rolled ice cream (even though I'm Type 1 diabetic), and it was worth the elevated blood sugar! They serve actual waffle pops, which is a unique and fun way to eat a waffle! I've been a frequent patron of Organix Juice Bar (both locations- which are also owned by George Memory), and the same Grade A quality that goes into those establishments are equally apparent at Cafe Vara Du! The staff here was extremely positive, knowledgeable, and I felt like I was important (I wish that more businesses made me feel important). The Triad area has some powerhouse local businesses, and I'll tell you, Cafe Vera Du is now in my Top 3 in the Triad! Stop what you're doing and go experience Cafe Vera Du right now!!
